Don K., illustrated as a besuited donkey on a London rooftop at sunset
The editor

Don K.

A decade and a half in senior hospitality roles — running outlets, sites and P&Ls, from fun little live music dive bars to Michelin Star and Rosette holders to "top 10 restaurants in London" — sitting in payroll meetings, HR meetings, marketing meetings, trying to keep it together whilst listening to things dumb and dumber, and clearing up the messes that never made it into the annual report.

Crude and very rude, Don — writes without a filter or care what the trade press won't: why most "lists" are a complete scam, what dirt is hiding behind the polished décor and smiling (fake) staff, and how your favourite green-conscious place is still destroying the planet.

I'll be shedding light on some of the most outrageous and disgusting practices in the industry — the kind that'll make you think twice next time you go out to eat.

Eat No Eat isn't a review site (although you will see me occasionally having a go at the latest "best restaurant"). It's an inside account — anonymous by necessity, unsparing by design, and generous with praise only when praise has actually been earned. Draw your own conclusions.

Tips, snitchings, and confessions from the floor are always welcome — quietly, and in confidence.

And yes, if you want me to have a look at your bar or restaurant, drop old Don a message: don.k@eatnoeat.com
